Media Release: The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board (TBDSSAB) Releases 2021 Annual Report
May 3, 2022 – The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board (TBDSSAB) is pleased to publicly release its 2021 Annual Report.
The report outlines the work and activities of the TBDSSAB staff during the reporting period of January 1 to December 31, 2021.
Included in this report is a high-level overview of programs, services, and activities offered directly through TBDSSAB, as well as many initiatives delivered by our funded partners. This report has been optimized for electronic viewing with links to full stories.
Highlights include:
- Board advocacy: The Board is committed to ongoing advocacy in response to local service system needs.
- Program success stories: Included in this report are program-level highlights that capture the impact our programs and services have on our communities.
- COVID-19 Response: In 2021, the flexibility of pandemic-relief funding helped TBDSSAB strengthen the housing system by funding increased outreach services to the unhoused and capital projects that led to increased transitional housing capacity.
- Green Initiatives: TBDSSAB continues to invest in green initiatives across our housing portfolio and operations, resulting in significant reductions to energy consumption and emissions.
