Media Release: The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board (TBDSSAB) Releases 2020 Annual Report
May 11, 2021 – The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board (TBDSSAB) publicly released its 2020 Annual Report today. The report outlines the work and activities of the TBDSSAB staff during the reporting period of January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020.
The report includes a high-level overview of the TBDSSAB core services of Social Assistance Programs, Community Housing and Child Care & Early Years as well as other complementary programs, services and activities. The 2020 TBDSSAB Annual Report highlights:
- Board Advocacy: The Board is committed to ongoing advocacy in response to local service system needs.
- Restructured Programs: In early 2020, TBDSSAB reorganized its programs and services to fall under the Integrated Social Services and Corporate Services divisions.
- COVID-19 Relief Programs: Throughout the pandemic, TBDSSAB has continued to serve the public while administering community relief funding allocated by the province.
- Green Initiatives: TBDSSAB invested one million dollars into green initiatives across our housing portfolio, resulting in significant reductions to energy consumption and emissions.
