Statement of Commitment

The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board is dedicated to ensuring that all individuals are treated with dignity and respect, while supporting their independence. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment that promotes equal opportunities for all. In line with this commitment, we strive to meet the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner by proactively preventing and removing accessibility barriers, and by complying with the requirements set forth under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.

Accessibility Table 

The Accessibility Table of the District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board is tasked with advising the Board on the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the Accessibility Plan, as well as on matters related to citizens with disabilities.

The Table will convene quarterly to review progress in meeting AODA requirements, monitor the implementation of the accessibility plan, and ensure the effective execution of barrier-removal and barrier-prevention strategies.

The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board has developed a multi-year accessibility plan that outlines the strategies for preventing and addressing barriers to accessibility.
