TBDSSAB Welcomes 2025 Board Leadership
January 2, 2025 – The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board (TBDSSAB) has elected their Chair and Vice Chair for 2025.
Brian Hamilton has been re-elected to Chair of the Board for a second term, with Jim Vezina taking over for Jim Moffatt (Manitouwadge) as Vice Chair, effective January 2, 2025. Brian Hamilton has represented the City of Thunder Bay on the Board of Directors since 2019. Jim Vezina joined the Board as a representative for Township of O’Connor in 2023.
As regulated under the District Social Services Administration Boards Act, the TBDSSAB Board of Directors consists of 14 members who are elected officials. Thirteen Board Members representing municipal jurisdictions within the District of Thunder Bay are appointed by their municipal councils, while one TBDSSAB member representing areas within the Territory Without Municipal Organization (TWOMO) is selected by qualified electors of that territory for a four-year term.
