Media Release: TBDSSAB’s Thunder Bay and Kakabeka Offices Temporarily Closed Due to Weather
March 23, 2022 – Due to inclement weather, The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board (TBDSSAB) will be temporarily closing office facilities in the city of Thunder Bay and Kakabeka. The remaining satellite offices in the District of Thunder Bay will remain open.
Effective March 23, 2022, TBDSSAB services and facilities in Thunder Bay and Kakabeka are temporarily closed due to extreme weather conditions.
- All services available at TBDSSAB Main Office at 231 May Street South, and the Kakabeka office —including all appointments scheduled for March 23, 2022— are cancelled. Service recipients whose appointments are cancelled are asked to contact their worker on Thursday March 24 to reschedule.
- All satellite offices within the District of Thunder Bay will remain open for services.
- All Maintenance appointments scheduled at TBDSSAB Housing properties in the city of Thunder Bay will be rescheduled. In the case of a maintenance emergency at any TBDSSAB housing properties, tenants are encouraged to call the Maintenance Dispatch line at: 807-766-4777 / 1-877-281-2958
