Media Release: TBDSSAB Opens Applications to 2022 CHPI Food Security Fund
January 31, 2022 – The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board (TBDSSAB) is pleased to announce that the Community Homelessness Prevention Initiatives (CHPI) Food Security Fund has returned for 2022.
CHPI supports the province’s goal to end chronic homelessness by 2025, and to establish creative and innovative approaches to homelessness that align with TBDSSAB’s housing and homelessness plan. The CHPI Food Security Fund is an initiative under the CHPI fund that aims to provide financial support to food security initiatives in the District of Thunder Bay that help address and prevent homelessness.
Organizations are invited to apply for eligible food security initiatives by February 11, 2022. A total of $470,000 is available to eligible initiatives. More information about the CHPI Food Security Fund can be found on the TBDSSAB website: www.tbdssab.ca/housing/chpi-food-security-fund/
TBDSSAB supports people to improve their lives and become self-sufficient. We do this as the service system manager for vital, quality social services needed by individuals and families living in the District of Thunder Bay—including child care and early years, community housing, homelessness prevention programs—and through the delivery of Ontario Works.
